In August of 1995, 107 WWII aircraft made a coast to coast trip to salute America's WWII Veterans. When they stopped at Wright-Patt Air Force Base, John was there working as a Lead Mechanic on the C-21 program (military Lear 35's).
The T-6 above required an alternator change and John was asked if they could use the hangar and his tools. He also drove one of the aviators to a local avionics shop to have emergency radio repairs.
