Spectra Jet & Boeing Partner on
USAF C-21 CLS Contract Bid

Spectra Jet was chosen by Boeing to partner with them on the upcoming bid for the United States Air Force C-21 Contractor Logistics Support contract.

Boeing is bidding on daily operations at numerous C-21a sites, based all around the world.  Spectra Jet will provide to Boeing and the Air Force, depot level maintenance on the entire fleet of C-21a aircraft. This will include C-21a Phase-14 (12 year) and Phase-16 (12,000 hour) inspections along with unscheduled heavy maintenance.

Spectra Jet was chosen due to their outstanding reputation in the Learjet community and their past experience working for Glasco on the C-21 program.

Additionally, Spectra Jet with Air Colors of Urbana, Ohio, will provide complete strip and repaint of the entire C-21 fleet.  The USAF currently operates a fleet of 76 C-21a aircraft.

The C-21 is a Learjet 35a, the venerable Bill Lear design which started business aviation.  Click here for more info about the C-21.

Submission of the Request for Proposal  (RFP) was completed in June 2004.
